Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Palmer is a NIMH T-32 Postdoctoral Fellow in the science of child mental health treatment. Alyssa completed her Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in developmental psychopathology and clinical science. Alyssa’s research program focuses on identifying, accurately measuring, and leveraging processes of multi-system resilience in early childhood that promote children’s mental health in the context of adversity. As a first-generation college graduate, Alyssa is dedicated to engaging in translatable, relevant, and community-engaged research. She is working with Dr. Nastassia Hajal on the Parents of Preschoolers study and providing therapy to perinatal parents in the Family Development Program.
