Community Schools Project Director
Evelyn Wang, PhD is the Community Schools Project Director for the Research & Evaluation team at the Division of Population Behavioral Health. Evelyn earned her doctorate in social research methodology and evaluation at the UCLA School of Education & Information Studies and a master’s degree in human development and psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of school- and community-based supports that promote mental health and academic outcomes for children and families. She previously worked at the UCLA Center for Community Schooling where she conducted implementation research, program evaluation, and data management projects at community schools in Los Angeles; she also worked in the Research & Evaluation Center at Children’s Institute, a nonprofit social services organization in Los Angeles County.
