Division Administrator
Susan Cohen is the administrator for human relations for the Division of Population Behavioral Health and the Deputy Director of the Prevention Center of Excellence. As a life-long Angeleno, she has spent the balance of her career working on behalf of various vulnerable populations within LA County Non-profit organizations. As an undergraduate and graduate alum of CSU, Northridge, Susan holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public health with a focus on community based health. Her areas of leadership lie at the intersection of substance use disorders, LGBTQ+ health care, health disparities, women’s health, and organizational management. Ms. Cohen has been a faculty member in the health sciences departments of Mt. San Antonio College, College of the Canyons, and most recently, CSU, Northridge, where she has taught public health courses for 20 years and has coordinated their field placement programs for both health administration and public health majors. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her spouse and two teenage sons, their two dogs, and exploring new-found places in Los Angeles.
