UCLA Tele-Mental Health Hub AV UPP (Antelope Valley UCLA Public Partnership) provides short-term services for youth and families with mild/moderate behavioral health symptoms.
Approach
The team uses different types of effective Evidenced Based Practices (EBP’s) to create a custom treatment plan to meet the needs of each child and teen.
Services Provided:
AV-UPP offers Telehealth services that include: individual, family, group, and crisis intervention services.
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Individual therapy for youth
- Family therapy
- Medication support
- Targeted case management
All services are provided in English and Spanish using a HIPAA compliant and secure telehealth platform.
Eligibility Criteria
- Children and teens ages 5 to 26
- Medi-Cal beneficiaries
- Referred by provider
- Resides within the Antelope Valley

First visits take place at the High Desert Regional Health Center Pediatric Clinic. Follow up appointments are held over video from home or at the clinic.

STAND at ELAC
The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge (DGC) has developed STAND, a scalable approach to screen for, prevent, and treat anxiety and depression. STAND is designed to be culturally responsive to diverse community college student populations.
The UCLA Tele Mental Health Hub provides services to students referred to the clinical care tier.
