UCLA Tele-Mental Health Hub

About
The UCLA Tele-Mental Health Hub expands access to high-quality behavioral health services through secure telehealth treatment designed for children, adolescents, young adults, and families with Medi-Cal insurance.
About the Tele-Mental Health Hub
The UCLA Tele-Mental Health Hub improves access to exceptional behavioral healthcare by connecting patients, families, providers, schools, and community organizations with UCLA clinicians through secure telehealth technology. Our mission is to reduce barriers to care while delivering compassionate, evidence-based, culturally responsive mental health services to children and families with Medi-Cal insurance.
Our Philosophy of Care
Every patient deserves personalized care that recognizes their strengths, values, culture, and goals. Our clinicians partner with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions while maintaining close collaboration with referring providers.
Evidence Based Treatments
Our clinicians use evidence-based treatments that are supported by research and tailored to each patient’s individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Treatment approaches may include:
Helps individuals identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior while developing practical skills to manage emotions and everyday challenges.

A specialized treatment for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. It helps young people and their caregivers process difficult experiences, manage trauma-related symptoms, and build healthy coping skills.

Provides parents and caregivers with practical strategies to strengthen their relationship with their child, encourage positive behaviors, improve communication, and respond effectively to behavioral and emotional challenges.

A collaborative approach that helps individuals explore their feelings about change, identify personal motivations, and build confidence in taking steps toward their goals.

Helps individuals develop greater awareness and acceptance of difficult thoughts and emotions while taking meaningful actions that reflect their personal values.

Teaches practical skills for managing intense emotions, coping with distress, improving relationships, and responding to challenging situations more effectively.

Helps individuals improve mood by gradually increasing meaningful, enjoyable, and goal-directed activities, particularly when depression has led to withdrawal or decreased motivation.

Focuses on the connection between mood and relationships, helping individuals improve communication, navigate life transitions, address interpersonal challenges, and strengthen social support.

Uses present-moment awareness to help individuals better understand their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences while developing healthier ways of responding to stress.

A goal-oriented approach that builds on an individual’s existing strengths and resources to identify practical solutions and create positive change.
