Yesenia Aguilar Silvan is a Clinical Psychology Intern at the UCLA Stress, Trauma, and Resiliency (STAR) Clinic at the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She is a sixth-year Clinical Psychology PhD candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). At the STAR Clinic, she provides trauma-informed, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and families, with a strong commitment to serving racial and ethnic minority youth and monolingual Spanish-speaking families. Her research focuses on improving access to and engagement with evidence-based mental health care for trauma-exposed communities. She leverages implementation science to identify organizational and provider-level strategies that support the adoption and sustainability of these practices in resource-constrained settings.
