About Us

FOCUS, or Families OverComing Under Stress, provides resilience services to families, including military and Veteran families. FOCUS teaches practical skills to help families meet challenges, including how to communicate, solve problems and successfully set goals together.

Based on more than 20 years of research, FOCUS has been designed to meet the unique challenges facing today’s families, couples, and parents. FOCUS participants identify and build upon existing strengths. They also report a renewed sense of confidence in their family closeness.

FOCUS for Families

FOCUS for Families helps families thrive. Through fun, interactive skills training, families grow closer and stronger. FOCUS works with each family to help them achieve their unique goals.

FOCUS for Families includes both parent-only and combined family (parent-child) sessions. Sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes. During the eight training sessions, family members set personalized goals and build a family timeline that explores the impact of recent events on all family members. Families then practice targeted skills to work toward their goals.
