Post-Doctoral Fellow
Kalen Kennedy, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Lezlie & Richard Atlas Early Childhood and Integrated Care Fellowship at UCLA. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University and completed his predoctoral internship at UCLA, focusing on child and family care. In his clinical work, Kalen will focus on providing trauma-informed care and to caregivers of critically ill infants and supporting children with medical complexities in the Family Development Program. His research broadly explores mechanisms of systemic inequities, and the disparities experienced by people with multiple marginalized identities, tying together his commitment to social justice and mental health. In his free time, Kalen can be found at some new restaurant he found on Infatuation, visiting museums, vintage shopping, or enjoying live music with friends. He’s always happy to chat over coffee in his office, located in the Nathanson Family Resilience Center, first floor of 300 Med Plaza.
