Dr. Susan Finley serves as a curriculum developer at UCLA’s Prevention Center of Excellence. She brings nearly two decades of experience working in higher education. As an associate professor, she teaches psychology and research methods at the graduate and undergraduate levels for colleges and universities in New York and Southern California. Dr. Finley has also worked as a career counselor and tele-mental health provider. She is actively involved in the community doing mental health advocacy work and has completed trainings at the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. Her research interests include distance education, telehealth, mindfulness, and resilience. Her formal training is equity-centered and trauma-informed. Dr. Finley received her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, an MS degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, and a BA degree in Media Studies with a minor in Psychology from Fordham University in New York City, where she was a scholar athlete.
