
UCLA TIES (Training, Intervention, Education, and Services) for Families is an interdisciplinary program in LA County dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of youth in foster care, kinship care, or adopted through foster care from birth to age 25, and their families.
Location
UCLA TIES for Families is a university-based program located on the UCLA campus and is a unique collaboration of the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior’s Division of Population Behavioral Health, the UCLA Center for Healthier Children, Families, and ; the UCLA Psychology Department; the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services; the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health; and private foundations.
TIES South Bay was founded in 2006 and is located in Torrance, CA, serving children and families living in the South Bay. They are a Department of Mental Health directly operated clinic.

Directions
From the 110 Freeway:
- Exit Torrance Blvd. Go westbound
- Make a right on Torrance Blvd. (We are located on the corner of Torrance Blvd. and Western Ave. in the Western Medical Group Building)
- Make a left on 208th St. and make a left on Higgins Court (left side). Or make a u-turn and make a right into driveway
From the 405 Freeway:
- Exit Western Ave. Go southbound (approx 1.5 miles)
- Make a right into the driveway. We are located before Torrance Blvd
